Stop guessing where UI elements will hide your text. Upload your thumbnail and instantly see the exact "Safe Zones" for YouTube and TikTok.
Why Safe Zones Matter for Creators
Every platform overlays user interface elements on top of your thumbnails and videos. If you place your most important text, faces, or call-to-actions in these "danger zones," they will be covered up, leading to lower click-through rates (CTR) and engagement.

For standard YouTube videos, the primary obstruction is the video duration timestamp located in the bottom-right corner. Additionally, if your video is part of a playlist or has a "Watch Later" button, the top-right corner may also be obscured. Keep your main subject centered or in the top-left quadrant for maximum visibility.

Vertical video platforms are much more aggressive with UI overlays. You must avoid:
- The Right Edge: The column containing the Like, Comment, and Share buttons takes up about 15-20% of the right side.
- The Bottom 25%: This area is reserved for your username, video caption, and the scrolling music/sound info.
- The Top Edge: The "Following/For You" tabs and search icons can cover the very top of your video.
Pro Tip: The safest area for vertical content is the center-middle of the screen. Always preview your edits using this tool before exporting!
