What is a disavow file?

It is a plain-text file you upload in Google Search Console telling Google to ignore specific backlinks when assessing your site. Use it only for links you are sure are spammy or manipulative.

How is the spam score calculated?

We score 0-100 using signals like high-risk TLDs (.tk, .top, .gdn...), spam keywords in the domain (casino, viagra, loan...), excessive hyphens or digits, punycode, raw IPs and free-host subdomains.

Should I disavow all suspicious links?

No. Google handles most spam links automatically. Disavow only clearly toxic links, especially if you have a manual action or a history of paid links. When in doubt, leave it out.

Where do I submit the file?
